17 Weeks!

In case you can't see the bottom square is a roller coaster,
and everyone one is on it except me and the bump :D

How far along? 17 weeks
Weight gain: I just weighed my self in the bathroom and I think my scale is broke. That is all I am saying.
Maternity clothes? I love clothes. I love shopping. This has given me a reason to shop
Stretch marks? Nothing New.
Sleep? Right now I have a makeshift system of using three pillows to get comfortable enough to sleep. Does anyone have any advice?
Best moment last week? My mom made ChocolateChip Freaking Awesome Cookies.
Movement? Yes, I can usually feel a little tumble here and there if I am really relaxed.
Food cravings/ aversions ? At this exact moment in time I want chocolate cake, with chocolate frosting.
Belly button in/out? Still in. Oh and this week I bought a special plastic bendy belly ring to use because for some reason the one I have in right now annoys my mom. She thinks it is bad for the baby or something crazy like that.
What I miss: Going on roller coasters!!!!
What I am looking forward to: right now? Breakfast, Tubbs (my Mom's fiance) is making french toast!!!  . But as for this week I am looking forward to celebrating some birthdays (Tubbs and   Tubbs Jr. :D )
Random Info: So I completely forgot, but not really, because I feel like this week lasted for ever!!! But I went to Universal freaking Studios! and I got to go to the Wizarding World of WAIT FOR IT ….. Harry FREAKING Potter!!! That was the best moment last week (sorry mom! I love you!!!) It was like someone went into my imagination and made a theme park just for me. I wore my special shirt that I made for the trip too!!!(Check it out here!) I tasted Butterbeer!!! AMAZING. Seriously thinking about the WWHP makes me trip over my words. I think I am going to just dedicate a whole post about it :D

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

   Hi! Everyone!
So I am freaking jumping out of my socks excited for this weekend!!!!! In fact I have been waiting for this weekend since I was 10 years old. From the very first time my teacher began reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone I was hooked. This weekend I get to visit that magical place I have been dreaming of, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. My Mom asked  "how have you been waiting for this since you were 10, the park just opened a couple years ago?" Well that was easy to answer. I have been imagining what Hogwarts would be like since fifth grade and now I get to go see the real thing , you know minus the actual magic.
Now I will be the first to tell you I am the biggest kid when it comes to Harry Potter. In fact in the last couple days my Mom has repeatedly said " you know you're gonna be a mommy pretty soon." Yes I know Mom and my child will love Harry Potter just as much as I do because seriously these stories are amazing. So in preparation for this weekend's adventures I made my self a couple things to go along with our trip. We (the family) are also having a Harry Potter Marathon as we speak (or write and read.)
First I made a shirt to wear. I used a simple print and iron on method. I used my Pottermore information to make my shirt. It has the House I was sorted into and all the qualities and what not on the front and my wand info on the back.  If you want to be Pottermore friends this is my user name: DustNox21331.

Second I made I wand. Yes I know I will be 23 next month and on to society a play wand is pretty childish but I still wanted one but I didn't want to spend outrageous money on one this weekend. I believe they cost like 30 bucks and that is just to much for a piece of brown plastic. So I thought hey I can make one (especially after seeing this.) I headed to Wal-Mart this afternoon and picked up my supplies:

  • Paint Brushes: $1
  • Glue Sticks: $2.97
  • Glue Gun:  $2.77
  • Wood Dowels: $.97
  • 2 Paints: $.57ea
  • Little Brown beads ( I didn't use them): $1.50
  • Yellow flower Beads : $1.00
  • Ruler: $1.00
               Total = 12.35
Now normally I would have had everything but the wood dowels, though in that case I would use a chopstick, but I am at my Mom's house and I don't have my beautiful craft closet at my finger tips.

Now first I measured out my dowel to be 10.5 inches and cut it with a pocket knife. I don't recommend this because it was difficult. Then I used my hot glue gun and covered the bottom of my "wand" to make the handle.

Then I added the yellow rose bead I bought to the end to make it look pretty.

And last I painted it!

Tada!

I think it came out very nice :)

Well I am going to get back to watching Harry Potter!! I will share pictures about my visit to Harry Potter world next week!
Cheers!

Natter

*I started writing this on Sunday 3/25, and didn't get to finish this until now*

So this weekend started off pretty boring. Just cleaning up the house and folding laundry (I have a habit of washing it and leaving it in the basket so I was trying out the whole folding deal.) Then I got a call from my Papi telling me that he was in town and going to this place called the Shout House. Now when I say in town I mean San Diego, which is still about an hour away from me. I was like hey I don't feel like folding laundry and I need to get out of the house so I decided to go. Now I was a little skeptical about the drive down to San Diego because my car is old and a bit sketchy some times, but I was like what the heck! So I drove down to the city and everything was fine until I got downtown. At every stop Natter turned off.  Oh Dear Right?! But I made it to the parking lot so I brushed off the problem. Bad idea I should have not done because about ten minutes out of the city and on my way home poor old Natter went into a coma, in the middle of the road. IT WAS AWFUL!!!!
Thankfully a man and his wife were out walking their dog and the husband came to help. He helped me push about 100ft to the gas station, UPHILL! At the gas station I checked the oil and well there was no oil to be checked so I bought some. When I put the oil in it went straight through. Dear me was I in trouble. I was in the middle of nowhere, my phone was dead and so was my car. Thankfully, the husband that had helped me had a cell phone that I could use to call the tow truck.

I had the tow truck tow my car out to the Sears at my mall because they had done the oil change before and I figured they would be able to fix it. I was wrong. The next morning when I made it down to the Sears the guy would not even go near it. Sucks right. So I went home and sulked in a bad mood and took it out on baking.  I decided to go with a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and chocolate frosting. That is a whole lot of chocolate but boy did it taste good. After baking though I still had a lot of frustration to unleash so I started playing around with some fondant.

I made a Sorting Hat, out of the cake and fondant. What do you think?
Here is my wand :)
I was very satisfied with my cake that I made but still bummed about my car. Today (Wednesday) I took a cab out to the Sears and had my car towed to my local Buggie Shop. I have not yet heard what the diagnosis for Natter is but hopefully it is not that bad.
